Trump: I don't get personal benefits from promoting cryptocurrencies

The American president has declared that he does not benefit personally from advocating for cryptocurrencies. In a discussion with NBC News, Trump expressed his stance, stating, «I don’t gain any personal advantages from promoting cryptocurrencies». He clarified that if someone successfully manages their assets and the stock market is growing, one could infer they are making a profit.

Furthermore, the president emphasized that the United States must emerge as a leader in the digital asset domain, highlighting cryptocurrencies’ capacity to withstand market downturns more robustly than conventional assets. He proclaimed that cryptocurrencies could be a cornerstone of America’s economic dominance.

Regarding the U.S. dollar, Trump asserted that cryptocurrencies do not jeopardize its status. Instead, he believes that fostering the crypto sector will bolster America’s standing as a global financial powerhouse.

Trump also raised concerns about China’s advancement in digital initiatives, fearing it might surpass the U.S. in technological prowess. He urged America to take the lead in this field.

NBC reporters noted a lack of concrete plans in the presidential address, suggesting it might continue the election campaign theme after 100 days in office.

Additionally, there was a sharp increase in trading activity for the Official Trump memcoin (TRUMP) following an announcement about an exclusive dinner with the President for major token holders. This event was orchestrated by the Donald Trump family.
